Jason Storah

Aviva and Aviva Canada have announced that Jason Storah, current CEO of Aviva Canada, will be moving on to lead the United Kingdom and Ireland general insurance businesses for the company. Replacing Storah is Tracy Garrad, who most recently served as the CEO of AXA’s UK healthcare business, formerly known as AXA PPP.

Prior to her four years with AXA, she was CEO of HSBC’s Channel Islands and Isle of Man businesses. Garrad is also currently a non-executive director of the London Stock Exchange Group plc. She joins Aviva in her new role effective October 16, 2023, tasked with the job of continuing to grow the Canadian franchise.

According to the company’s announcement, Adam Winslow, most recently the CEO of the UK and Ireland business will be leaving Aviva to pursue an unspecified external opportunity.

As for Storah, Aviva’s group CEO, Amanda Blanc says the Canadian operations have thrived under his stewardship, having successfully led a turnaround in that business. Prior to working as the Canadian CEO, a role he held for four years, Storah, who has worked in different capacities for the company for almost 20 years, was chief distribution officer, where he oversaw broker distribution and partnerships.

Storah will remain on the company’s group executive committee where he has served since 2020, and Garrad will join that committee on joining the company in October.
