People Corporation recently acquired Nexim Canada, Insurance Solutions, a group insurance brokerage firm located in Laval, Quebec specializing in insurance solutions designed for associations. According to its website, it offers these services across Canada and has over 250 advisors.
Details of this transaction were made public through a post on the business social network LinkedIn at the end of February 2024. The post reads: "Bienvenue, Nexim Insurance Solutions! We’re thrilled to expand our footprint in the TPA market with the Nexim team led by Patrick Desormeau and Briana Desormeau. Join us in welcoming the newest member of the People Corporation family!”
People Corporation declined our interview requests.

Joining the People Corporation family allows us to expand our services, provide more solutions, and leverage the true strength, knowledge, and expertise of our team,” Patrick Desormeau reacted on LinkedIn.
Desormeau is the CEO of Nexim. Briana Desormeau serves as the Director of Operations and Business Development.
Recently, People Corporation acquired Robertson Eadie & Associates, an insurance brokerage based in Oakville, Ontario, and Johnstone's Benefits, a group insurance brokerage in the Vancouver region. In 2022, it acquired Gestion financière M. Delage & Associés (GFMD), a firm based in Sherbrooke, Quebec.
