iA Financial Group has appointed a new executive vice president of wealth management, who will succeed Sean O’Brien, effective immediately, following O’Brien’s move into group benefits and retirement solutions as that group’s executive vice president, a move announced in November 2022.
Stephan Bourbonnais is formerly the president of iA Private Wealth, having joined iA Financial Group in 2021. Prior to that he was senior vice president with TD Private Wealth Management for more than eight years and spent more than 12 years prior to that in senior roles with National Bank Financial. The new executive vice president of wealth management will oversee four businesses, including iA Clarington Investments, iA Private Wealth, Investia Financial Services and iA Capital Markets.
Charged with leading the wealth management segment’s growth strategy, a “key area of iA’s business,” says iA’s president and CEO, Denis Ricard, Bourbonnais will also be a member of the executive committee, chaired by Ricard.
