Northbridge Assurance has named a new Director of Business Development in Quebec: Éric Primeau.
His appointment was confirmed in a message sent to brokers by Jean-François Lussier, the insurer’s Vice President of Sales and Distribution in Quebec, on April 25, the same day that Primeau assumed his position.
Primeau previously served as Director, Broker Distribution and Strategic Partnerships for Promutuel Insurance. He was appointed in October 2020.
Éric Primeau has nearly 25 years’ experience in the industry, both with insurers and in the brokerage network. Notably, he was with Desjardins General Insurance Group for eight years. He then worked as vice-president of commercial insurance at Groupe DPJL before joining Promutuel.
Primeau replaces Jean-Claude Brault, who has retired. On April 29, Brault ended his last day on the job by thanking brokers in a LinkedIn post that was praised by many in the brokerage network. Brault had been the Business Development Director since December 2013.
