The Insurance Portal publishes two tables that provide a quick overview of the financial strength rating of major property and casualty insurance companies.
The most recent version of these indices had been published in the June 2021 edition of the Insurance Journal.
Most major property insurers are evaluated by the AM Best agency. In all cases except one, the outlook is stable.
The firm Standard & Poor's (S&P) provides an analysis for the other two insurers that are not evaluated by the other agency.
Desjardins General Insurance does not appear in these tables, as Desjardins' insurance subsidiaries are not evaluated by rating agencies.
