SMEs seeking to offer their employees protection against the consequences of a critical illness have choices galore.

Currently, a dozen products are available on the market, our life and health insurance product intelligence centre InsuranceINTEL determined.

The insurers serving this market differ in the minimum number of employees who must enroll in the plan to obtain critical illness insurance coverage. Most insurers require three employees to be enrolled. Some will accept a number as few as two, while others require five, or even ten.
