Marco Andolfatto, whose risk underwriting experience stretches back more than two decades, has been appointed Chief Underwriting Officer of assurtech Apollo Insurance Solutions, which provides access to niche products from multiple insurers through its Apollo Exchange brokerage platform.
This appointment comes just months after Apollo named an insurtech specialist as Director of Insurance Products. In his new position, “Marco Andolfatto will engage the insurance ecosystem to aggressively add to APOLLO’s ever-expanding selection of forward-thinking digital insurance products,” the appointment announcement reads
"Marco brings the right combination of traditional insurance production and a forward-thinking approach to how the industry can improve," says Apollo CEO Jeff McCann. He adds that Andolfatto has an impressive track record of driving organic growth and acquisitions at some of Canada's leading insurers and insurance intermediaries.
Ex-Totten and AIG exec
Until recently, Andolfatto was Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer of the Totten Group, a subsidiary of Hub International.
He also served as Assistant Manager for AIG in Canada, through a division of Chartis called Worldsource, and for Premiere Marine Insurance Managers as Managing Director, Business Development.
“Over the span of his career, he has developed and launched a wide variety of insurance products ranging from cyber, pollution, and other specialty lines to P&C focussed coverages,” Apollo says.
