BrokerLink is continuing its expansion across Canada with the acquisition of brokerage firms in Ontario and the Maritimes.
The subsidiary of Intact Financial Corporation has acquired Welland-based Kuhn & Associates Insurance and Financial Services and Halifax-based Current Maritime Insurance. Both transactions closed on Sept. 1. On August 1, BrokerLink acquired Mississauga-based J.W. Davis Insurance Brokers.
The three acquired companies offer home, auto and commercial insurance, some of which offer specialized products covering cottages, recreational vehicles, rental properties, antique automobiles, sailboats, motorboats, art collections and pet insurance.
18 acquisitions in 2022
By acquiring these three companies, BrokerLink now has a total of 18 acquisitions for the year 2022. BrokerLink ended 2021 with 21 acquisitions, 2020 with 18 acquisitions and 2019 with 23 acquisitions.
