As was done in the June 2021 edition of the Insurance Journal, the Insurance Portal has compiled in two separate tables the ratings assigned by credit agencies that assess the financial strength of major life insurers.
Most of the main companies receive a rating from the AM Best agency. All insurers analyzed by AM Best, except one, display a stable outlook.
For the two insurers not rated by this agency, the financial strength index rating is provided by the DBRS Morningstar agency.
In the case of the insurance subsidiaries of the Desjardins Group, rating agencies do not provide an analysis of their financial strength.
