In a Nov. 28 announcement, the company says the opening of this new building “marks the beginning of a new period for Manulife in Quebec.”

Accelerating growth

"Accelerating our growth in Quebec is an important component of Manulife's long-term Canadian strategy," said Michael Doughty, President & CEO of Manulife Canada. "While Manulife has held a strong presence in Quebec for 130 years, today, we begin a new chapter of our growth story. At the centre of this is Maison Manuvie, bringing together our employees with a common focus, our customer. With the customer at the centre of everything we do, we will become the reference point for health, wealth and innovation here in Quebec."

Digital connectivity

Manulife occupies more than half of the office space of the 27-storey building which was jointly developed with Ivanhoe Cambridge. The building is built to LEED CS Gold certification standards and is the first building in Quebec with a Wiredscore Platinum certification. This certification rates a building’s digital connectivity.
