In an announcement to insurance companies and staff on July 9, BridgeForce Financial Group says that after 10 years as president of BridgeForce, Michael Williams has resigned from his position, choosing not to renew his term as president.
After accepting his resignation at the July 9 board meeting, the partners of BridgeForce and its board of directors thanked Williams “for his vision, dedication and hard work over the years.” The announcement also says Williams, with BridgeForce for more than 18 years, will continue in his role as the president of the Canadian Association of Independent life Brokerage Agencies (CAILBA). Beyond the announcement, however, the company would not make any further comment about Williams’ resignation.
To replace Williams, the internal memo goes on to say the new board of directors unanimously voted to make two appointments: Mari-Jayne Woodyatt and Allen Wong will serve the company going forward as co-presidents. The board also accepted the nomination of Keith Pike to the BridgeForce Financial Group board where Pike will serve as vice president and secretary.
