BrokerLink has another acquisition under its belt. The Intact Financial Corporation subsidiary announced on February 28 that it has acquired Bluenose Insurance Brokers. This Nova Scotia-based brokerage has provided its clients in the communities of Sydney, St. Peter’s and Arichat with auto, home, business and life insurance solutions for over 30 years.
The acquisition was effective Feb. 1, 2022, the release says. “Bluenose Insurance team members will continue serving customers as part of the BrokerLink team,” it read.
This new addition to BrokerLink’s portfolio is the third to be announced in February.
More acquisitions to come
In fact, BrokerLink has been actively acquiring insurance brokerages in Atlantic Canada. The brokerage thus doubled its size in this region in 2021 with over 65 locations and 400 employees.
