After CUMIS, The Co-operators wants to merge the operations of another subsidiary into its own.
The insurer will ask the Canadian Minister of Finance for permission to amalgamate Coseco with its own operations on or after October 4.
This subsidiary has been acting as a call centre for The Co-operators’ property and casualty insurance business, offering direct distribution products.
The merger would take effect Dec. 31, if the Department of Finance approves the application.
