StoneRidge Insurance Brokers (SIB) announced April 4 that it has acquired Generations Insurance Inc.
Generations was founded in 1999 and is located in Scarborough. It is a full-service insurance brokerage servicing Ontario that provides personal and commercial offerings. Claire Munro, Vicki Van Santen and Tracey Long, are Generations' three Founding Partners.
SIB, headquartered in Ancaster, Ontario, provides insurance and consulting services. Its platforms include an insurance brokerage, MGA/MGU, group benefits and an adjusting firm. The acquisition of Generations will enable SIB to expand its personal and commercial insurance offerings, said the company in a statement.
"SIB has completed two transactions so far in 2022, with another two transactions expected to close in the coming months" said Ted Puccini, SIB's CEO and President.
Generations is the tenth investment that SIB has made since partnering with CIVC Partners, LP, a private equity firm in November 2019. The company says it is “actively seeking partnership/acquisition opportunities.”
