Property and casualty insurer, Chubb announced April 13 that it has promoted two of its leaders in the company’s North American accident and health business line. The company says the leadership appointments are intended to provide distribution partners with greater access to the Chubb’s accident and health products and resources.
Effective immediately, Suresh Kirshnan, Chubb’s current chief operating officer, North American accident and health, has been named executive vice president and head of North American specialty accident and health. In his expanded role, Krishnan, who joined Chubb in 1999, will grow the specialty business segment which offers accident and health insurance to businesses, educational institutions and affinity groups.
At the same time, Lauren Gorte, another long-standing Chubb employee who joined the company in 1999, has been named chief operating officer, specialty accident and health. Gorte will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to grow the company’s multinational travel accident and medical business travel accident businesses, along with its specialty risk business lines. Gorte will also lead the company’s retail field sales and underwriting teams. Prior to her appointment, Gorte was Chubb’s errors and omissions product manager. In making the announcement, the company also highlights Gorte’s experience with the company’s cyber product lines.
