Bermuda-based PartnerRe has announced the appointment of André Piché as president of its Canadian life and health operations.
Since May 19, Piché has been responsible for the firm’s Canadian life & health business, reporting to Alan Ryder, CEO of PartnerRe North American Life.
According to PartnerRe, “Piché has extensive experience in the life reinsurance industry, having spent the majority of his career in pricing various types of life and health products, working on new product development, building relationships with client companies, and in leadership positions.”
Piché joined PartnerRe in 2012. Since 2015, he has been chief business development officer, life & health, Canada.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Piché was vice-president, actuarial services, at SCOR from 1999 to 2007. Between 1992 and 1999, he was director of disability insurance at Swiss Re Canada. He earned a B.Sc. in actuarial science from Laval University.
