The General Insurance Council of Saskatchewan’s Market Practices Committee has entered into a consensual agreement and undertaking with designated representative, Shawn Wasylenko, Rayner Agencies Ltd and Onsurance Insurance Services after Wasylenko admitted he was guilty of misconduct when he failed to immediately notify the council that his firm had withdrawn its license recommendation for an agent.

“The designated representative, having waived his rights, accepts and undertakes to fulfill the sanctions imposed by the committee,” the insurance council writes. The misconduct, they add, is a violation of the council’s by-laws.

Sanctions levied by the council include a penalty of $500, plus the costs of the council’s investigation, totalling $440.
