Bradley is currently the chairwoman and CEO of the Nova Scotia Securities Commission, and is also an associate professor at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. She is a lawyer, and obtained her Bachelor of Laws from Queen’s University and Master of Laws from Harvard Law School. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto.

In the press release announcing her appointment, OBSI notes that Bradley is a member of the North American Association of Securities Regulators, former vice chairwoman of the Canadian Securities Administrators, and that she has also been a representative on the Canadian Joint Forum of Financial Regulators.

“Sarah has proven success operating in complex multi-stakeholder environments and possesses the right mix of experience, empathy and skills to succeed as Ombudsman and CEO,” says Fernand Bélisle, chairman of OBSI’s Board of Directors.
