A large P&C insurance brokerage firm has recruited a seasoned life and health insurance player to run its individual life insurance practice.
On March 3, 2021, Kim Oliphant became Senior Director and Practice Leader in Individual Insurance at Lussier Dale Parizeau. She reports to Jean-François Charest, Senior Vice-President, Personal Lines Services for the insurance and financial services firm.
Charest describes Oliphant as a manager focused on developing employee potential and achieving results. These two areas "will contribute to Lussier Dale Parizeau’s reputation as a provider of individual insurance consulting services," he said.
The brokerage highlights Kim Oliphant's extensive experience in the life and health insurance sector. Lussier Dale Parizeau is also active in group insurance, and has adopted a strategy aimed at meeting the life and health insurance needs of its P&C insurance clients.
"It gives me great pleasure to join the team at Lussier Dale Parizeau, a company with a global offering and a presence throughout Quebec, a major insurance and financial services firm," Oliphant said.
Strategic vision
Prior to joining Lussier Dale Parizeau, Oliphant worked at Humania Assurance as Vice President Sales and Marketing. In her notice of appointment, Lussier Dale Parizeau states that Oliphant’s tenure at the Saint-Hyacinthe-based insurer allowed her to put forward her strategic vision and marketing in individual and group insurance.
Humania Assurance CEO Stéphane Rochon told the Insurance Portal that he has not found a replacement for Oliphant, who left his organization in June 2020. Rochon added that he was holding the position in the interim.
Living benefits expert
Since joining Humania Assurance in 2016, Oliphant played a central role in the development of the digital product market. Prior to Humania, Kim Oliphant worked at La Capitale, where she drew on her extensive experience in living benefits products, accumulated since 1994 in disability, long-term care and critical illness insurance with insurers specializing in these niche markets. She previously served as brokerage director at RBC Insurance until 2008, the year she moved to La Capitale.
