Hub International announced Aug. 8 that it has acquired Blackstone Insurance, Benefits & Bonding Inc.
Blackstone Insurance is a commercial insurance and employee benefits brokerage firm. It is headquartered in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and has an office in Regina.
Troy Shanks, Vice President of Benefits Division, and Tim Shanks, Senior Vice President of Commercial Division for Blackstone Insurance, will join Hub Manitoba reporting to Doug Trapp, Vice President of Hub Manitoba. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
This is the latest in a series of acquisitions for Hub International in Canada. On Aug. 7, Hub also announced the acquisition of Benefits Brokers, an Ontario-based firm.
