Empire Life is making changes to its senior leadership team within its group solutions division. The changes announced last week include three leadership appointments. The company says the moves are being made to fill two roles which had been vacated by those retiring from the company.

In its announcement, Empire says Dara Brachman, who previously headed up the company’s group operations team, has been appointed vice president of group distribution. Prior to joining Empire Life in 2015, Brachman ran her own benefits consulting business.

Stephen Biringer, meanwhile, has been appointed vice president of group operations. Prior to his promotion, Biringer had been vice president of operations and vice president of business development in the company’s retail division.

Finally, Vanessa Lyco has been appointed vice president of group product and digital marketing. The company says Lycos has more than 20 years of experience in marketing and strategy execution in various North American financial services organizations. Lycos has previously worked in senior executive marketing roles with other companies, including AIG, GE Capital and HSBC. A company spokesperson said Empire’s group solutions vice president of marketing role had been vacant for over a year.

The other appointments follow the retirement of Jaime Hugessen, the company’s former group solutions division vice president of distribution, who retired in December.
