Desjardins Investments has announced a number of changes to Desjardins funds, including portfolio management changes and fee reductions.

DI announced June 7 that Desjardins Global Asset Management Inc. will now serve as the sole portfolio manager for the Desjardins Dividend Income Fund. Fiera Capital Corporation will now serve as the portfolio Sub-Manager for the Desjardins Overseas Equity Value Fund, while Lazard Asset Management LLC will now serve as the portfolio Sub-Manager for the Desjardins Global Equity Value Fund and the Desjardins Emerging Markets Funds.

Investment strategy changes

DI has approved changes to the investment strategies of the impacted funds, however, their investment objectives remain unchanged. DI also announced that the name of the Desjardins Overseas Equity Value Fund will be changed to Desjardins Overseas Equity Fund.

DI also announced management fee reductions for the following six funds: Desjardins Global Tactical Bond Fund; Desjardins Dividend Income Fund, Desjardins Overseas Equity Value Fund, Desjardins Global Dividend Fund, Desjardins Global Equity Growth Fund and the Desjardins Emerging Markets Fund.

These changes, subject to regulatory approval, will come into effect on or about July 9, 2018, says the company.
