La Capitale provided an update on the computer attack that targeted its P&C insurance brokerage subsidiary L'Unique General Insurance late last week.
In an e-mail sent to the Insurance Portal in mid-afternoon on December 8, La Capitale said it was continuing its investigation. "We are confident that we have contained the threat in time. Customer service is gradually resuming," it confirms.
In the meantime, emergency services are available for requests requiring immediate assistance, La Capitale adds, via both phone and e-mail.
No suspicious activity at SSQ
La Capitale's investigation also did not detect any suspicious activity or sign of an external threat within SSQ Insurance's environment. Its services have resumed, the insurer says.
La Capitale concluded its update by reassuring its customers and partners that it is committed to restoring services as quickly as possible, and thanks them for their understanding.
