BrokerLink has announced the acquisition of three insurance brokerages located in Alberta and Ontario.
The transactions were finalized on September 1. In its October 28 announcement, BrokerLink stated that employees from all three brokerages will remain with the company and continue to serve their local communities.
In Alberta
These transactions include the acquisition of Grandin Agencies Insurance (Grandin Agencies) of St. Albert, Alberta, founded in 1963. After being purchased by Al LePan in 1978, the firm became a family-run business in 1991 when Vince LePan joined as a broker.
Grandin offers a wide range of personal and commercial insurance products, covering auto, home, recreational vehicles, cottages, mobile homes, commercial properties, condominiums, and more.
In Ontario
The other two brokerages acquired by BrokerLink are located in northeastern Ontario and were part of the All-Risks brand. Employees from both firms will join nearby BrokerLink offices, a BrokerLink spokesperson confirmed to Insurance Portal.
Beauchamp Insurance Limited sold the brokerage operating as All-Risks Insurance Brokers Sudbury. Based in Chelmsford, in Greater Sudbury, this firm was founded in 2009 and provides auto, home, and commercial insurance products. Employees from this location have now joined another BrokerLink branch in the same community.
The second Ontario brokerage, located in Callander on the shores of Lake Nipissing, was owned by 2694215 Ontario Inc. and operated as All-Risks Insurance Brokers Callander. Established in 2019, this family-owned firm offers personal and commercial insurance, specializing in aviation coverage and healthcare facilities. The team now works out of BrokerLink’s North Bay branch.
Since the beginning of 2024, BrokerLink has completed 13 acquisitions, with previous transactions announced in July.
This subsidiary of Intact Financial Corporation operates more than 200 locations and employs 3,700 people.
