TD Insurance announced Nov. 30 that it is opening a new bilingual client advice centre in Dieppe, New Brunswick. The move expands TD Bank Group’s existing New Brunswick campus, which presently employs 1,000 banking and finance operations employees.

TD’s new space has the capacity for more than 135 people. The company says it has plans in place to employ approximately 100 full time employees in New Brunswick by January 2021. With the rise of remote work, it adds that it expects to increase its presence in the region beyond current capacity.

Currently licensed to support the Atlantic market, the centre’s employees will soon be licensed to support Quebec as well. In its statement, the company says “additional licensing will roll-out, allowing TD Insurance to continue its mission to better protect Canadians.”

Calling the company’s insurance division a growth business, Raymond Chun, president and CEO of TD Insurance says “today’s announcement also reinforces our commitment to better support customers in Atlantic Canada, as well as our customers all across the country, in both official languages.” The company adds that expanding operations in the area is needed to accommodate the insurance division’s current growth strategy.
