FP Canada announced on April 26 the recipients of the QAFP Exam Award of Merit for the February 2022 sitting of the exam. The award recognizes the performance of the top three highest scores of all the candidates who wrote the exam. 

John Baynham of Ajax, ON (Carte Wealth Management) took first place and Amerigo Tinor of Grande Prairie, AB (Sun Life Financial) was second. There was a tie for third place between Kjol Bjordal of Cranbrook, BC (IG Wealth Management) and Vincent Pearson of Calmar, AB (IG Wealth Management). 

"I'd like to congratulate John, Amerigo, Kjol, and Vincent for their remarkable performances on the QAFP exam. We wish them much success in their financial planning careers," stated Tashia Batstone, President and CEO of FP Canada. 

The QAFP exam is a four-hour, standardized national exam with questions focusing on specific elements of the FP Canada Standards Council Competency Profile. FP Canada offers the QAFP exam in English and French, three times each year. The next two exams will be held in May 2022 and October 2022.
