Gregory Chrispin has stepped down as Executive Vice-President, Wealth Management and Life and Health Insurance at Desjardins Group, Insurance Journal learned. A Desjardins spokesperson confirmed that the announcement was made on Monday morning, coinciding with Chrispin’s departure.

Denis Dubois has now assumed Chrispin’s functions. He has thus left his position of Executive Vice-President, Property and Casualty Insurance. Valérie Lavoie is the new Executive Vice-President. Property and Casualty Insurance.

Dubois, a trained actuary, joined Desjardins General Insurance Group in 2003. He notably led the integration of State Farm, which Desjardins acquired in 2016.

Mr. Chrispin plans to spend more time on other interests and his family, Marc-Brian Chamberland, Vice-President, corporate communications at Desjardins told Insurance Journal.
