A new partnership between financial technology company Advisor Flow, established in 2020, and “consent-based” data provider Flinks has resulted in a new digital client onboarding platform, designed for independent financial advisors.

The fully digital onboarding questionnaire, now paired with Flinks data, gives advisors the ability to securely collect client financial information, including transactional and account data, instantly, through secure digital channels and with the client’s consent.

“Data points can be pulled from over 100 financial institutions, directly into a client’s financial overview,” the company states in an announcement about the new partnership. It adds that Advisor Flow is currently evaluating integrations with a number of other leading financial planning and customer relationship management tools to further streamline the financial planning process. The company says agencies have also already begun offering white labeled versions of the product to their workforce.

“Ultimately our aim is to help more Canadians benefit from the personalized approach and coaching of an independent financial advisor, without the need to go to a physical office,” says Brandon Chapman, founder of Advisor Flow. “With this partnership, Advisor Flow makes open finance accessible to any independent financial advisor.”
