The Canada Protection Plan has launched a new no medical, simplified-issue insurance lineup and says "no applicant will be turned down".

On November 2, the company revealed its new "no med" products. Prospects with non-aggressive cancers may now obtain up to $500,000 of coverage provided it has been at least one year since all treatment was completed and they are deemed to be in remission. Those over the age of 55 who have suffered from coronary artery disease (such as heart attack, bypass surgery, stent insertion) may also be eligible for up to $500,000 of insurance, as are people with multiple sclerosis.

Canada Protection Plan says there are no pre-qualification questions, nor are there questions about disability.

"Whether clients have health issues, are in good health, new to the country on a work permit, participate in extreme sports or simply want reliable, affordable protection quickly and are between 18 and 80 years old, we can offer the life insurance coverage they deserve," says Michael Aziz, Senior Vice President of Sales at Canada Protection Plan.
