Three companies offer a buy sell insurance product, says InsuranceINTEL, a sister publication of The Insurance Portal.

• Manulife's Buy Sell Plus product can be purchased up to age 55. The other two products, Canada Life Disability buy sell insurance and RBC Buy Sell Disability Insurance are available to clients up to age 60;
• The RBC product has the lowest minimum issue limit of $45,000 or $25,000 if flexibly funded. The other two products have a minimum purchase limit of $50,000;
• Manulife offers two options for the elimination period, and the other two companies offer three;
• The maximum age for renewal differs among the three products: 63 for Manulife, 64 for RBC and 65 for Canada Life.
