PC Insurance believes that the distribution of auto and home insurance is outdated. The insurer, which is owned by the grocery chain Loblaw, is firmly turning towards digital distribution and promises Canadians to find the best prices and ease of execution there.

When contacted by the Insurance Portal to learn more about its strategies, the insurer refused to grant us an interview.

A tour of the website shows that PC Insurance acts as a broker for several insurers. These include Pembridge, Economical, Travelers, Intact, Pafco, Wawanesa and Aviva

PC Insurance claims that members of its PC Optimum loyalty program can save up to 35% on their premiums. How? By bundling their auto and home insurance with the same insurer, by showing a dossier without claims, and allowing its brokers to shop for members.

PC Insurance’s auto and home insurance products are available in Alberta, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Prince Edward Island.

PC Insurance also offers personal insurance through the insurer Canada Life. This includes temporary insurance, critical illness insurance, and accident insurance.
