Raymond James Ltd., the Canadian division of North American investment dealer Raymond James Financial, Inc., announced June 1 that it has appointed a new national director of wealth management.

Formerly of Scotia Wealth Management where he was responsible for business development efforts, Scott Hudson, the new national director of wealth management for Raymond James, has over 25 years of experience helping high performance advisors and portfolio managers to enhance their client relationships and business building opportunities.

Executive vice president of the firm’s wealth management group, Jamie Coulter says Hudson “will be a key catalyst as we continue to build Raymond James as the firm of choice for advisors and portfolio managers.”

As part of his new role, Hudson will also serve as a member of the firm’s wealth management operating committee.
