Navacord Corp., a commercial insurance brokerage, announced Oct. 26 the appointment of Jim Edmands as SVP, Benefits and Retirement, effective Nov. 9.
Edmands has held prominent positions within national insurance firms and brokerages and has more than 30 years of experience in sales and marketing. He holds a B.Sc. from Cornell University in Business Management and Finance.
“Jim exhibits a passion for the industry and for strategic partnership development,” states Shawn DeSantis, President and CEO of Navacord. “Our benefits and retirement division is growing rapidly, and it’s the right time to bring in top talent to complement and support Navacord’s vision.”
The company says that in the past year it has more than doubled its benefits revenue through brokerage acquisitions from coast to coast.
