Mary Forrest has been elected chairwoman of the Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association (CLHIA).
On June 17, the CLHIA announced that its members had elected Forrest to serve as chairwoman. She is president and chief executive officer for North America (Life) at the Munich Reinsurance Company, where she has worked since 1991. She is currently responsible for the company’s Life and Health reinsurance operations in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.
She has also served as chairwoman of the Munich American Reassurance Company board in Atlanta, and as a board member for the Munich Reinsurance Company of Canada and the Temple Insurance Company.
Forrest holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, and is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
