Ten banks have joined forces to help the Canadian Red Cross provide relief for those affected by flooding in New Brunswick. Support includes opening branch locations and online networks for donations, providing corporate contributions totaling approximately $100,000, mobilizing employee fundraising and other initiatives led by individual banks, announced the Canadian Bankers Association May 9.

Accepting customer donations

The following banks are accepting customer donations through their branch or online networks from May 9 to early June: BMO, Canadian Western Bank, CIBC, HSBC, Laurentian Bank, National Bank, RBC, Scotiabank, TD and Tangerine . Donations can be made online directly from client accounts starting from May 10 to June 8.
