Horizons ETFs today announced that it has added 11 new holdings to the Horizons Marijuana Life Sciences Index ETF (HMMJ).
HMMJ is an index ETF, which seeks to replicate the performance of the North American Marijuana Index.
The HMMJ portfolio has expanded to include the following constituents: Canntrust Holdings, Delta 9 Cannabis, Emerald Health Therapeutics, Harvest One Cannabis, Hydropothecary Corp., ICC International Cannabis Corp., InMed Pharmaceuticals, Innovative Industrial Properties, Newstrike Resources, Radient Technologies and WeedMD.
Fast-growing asset class
"Cannabis has been one of the newest and fastest-growing asset classes of 2017, presently valued at approximately $23 billion," said Steve Hawkins, President and Co-CEO of Horizons ETFs. "The continued expansion of HMMJ's Index and portfolio demonstrates how quickly this sector has evolved and why it should be considered a long-term, domestic investment opportunity for Canadian investors."
