Hub International Limited announced Sept. 9 that it has acquired Felton et Associes Assurances Inc. of Brossard, Quebec. The announcement follows earlier deals, as well, including one in Ontario in July and another in Alberta in May 2024.  

Felton et Associes provides commercial and personal insurance, specializing in construction, real estate, architecture and engineering. “This focus supports Hub’s specialty practices by complementing and strengthening its existing capabilities. President Maxime Felton and the Felton et Associes team will join Hub Quebec,” the company announced in a statement.  

In July this year, Brad Beer of London, Ontario was also reported to have sold his commercial insurance business specializing in business for real estate, hospitality and construction. Brad Beer, director of commercial insurance, and his team joined Hub Ontario when the deal closed.  

Finally, the company said in early May 2024 that it has acquired “certain assets” from an Alberta numbered company, partially owned by Carianne O’Connor. The company says O’Connor is an experienced insurance consultant specializing in commercial insurance including farm, personal insurance, home and auto. The Edmonton, Alberta representative joined the Hub Prairies division. 

Terms of the various transactions were not disclosed.
