Les Éditions du Journal de l'assurance Inc. operates the Portail de l’assurance and the Insurance Portal (hereinafter referred to as the “Portals”). The use of the Portals is governed by the terms and conditions outlined below.
Acceptance of Terms
By using our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms of use and purchase conditions, and you agree to comply with them as well as any future modifications. These terms constitute a contract between Les Éditions du Journal de l'assurance Inc. and you (or your organization). Any changes will be communicated to you via email. It is recommended to periodically check this page to stay informed of any updates, especially if you do not receive our emails.
Office Address
The head office, located at 31 Croissant Louis-Arthur, Laval, Quebec, H7G 3Z8, is a meeting point for our employees and collaborators. All production and administration are fully digital, thanks to our transition to a cloud-based infrastructure and remote work setup.
General Usage Rules
All materials (texts, images, logos) on the Portals of Les Éditions du Journal de l'assurance Inc. are provided for your personal use. Reproduction, sharing, or distribution on another platform without written permission from Les Éditions du Journal de l'assurance Inc. is prohibited, except in the following cases:
Sharing on social media, forums, and blogs
You may share titles, images, and article summaries. It is prohibited to associate any form of advertising with the shared content.
Embedding Videos
Embedding videos on another platform is not permitted.
Purchase Conditions
After completing your purchase, you will receive a confirmation email for your transaction. Please keep this email as your receipt.
- Digital Subscription: For the duration covered by each of your payments, you will have access to all content associated with the services you subscribed to (EXECUTIVE Level, PRO Level, Product Finder, etc.) as well as any associated privileges, including digital editions of our magazines, on both the Insurance Portal and the Portail de l’assurance.
- Postal and Digital Subscription: If you are subscribed to the PRO or EXECUTIVE Level, in addition to the content access mentioned above, you will periodically receive the print edition of the Journal de l’assurance magazine (the Insurance Journal magazine is no longer available in print format).
Individual Subscriptions
Individual subscriptions are intended for the exclusive use of the person who purchased the subscription. Sharing access with others is prohibited. In the event of abuse, the subscription may be suspended without refund or credit.
Corporate Subscriptions
Each member under a corporate subscription receives individual privileges. Sharing one member’s access with others is prohibited. In the event of abuse, the subscription may be suspended without refund or credit.
Access to Digital Platforms at the End of a Subscription
Your profile and account will remain active, and you may continue to receive certain newsletters. However, you will no longer have access to subscriber-only content and privileges.
Payments
All transactions through our Portals are payable exclusively by Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. For more information on transaction security and the protection of your personal information, please refer to the Security and Privacy Policy of Les Éditions du Journal de l'assurance Inc. Continuous Subscription Terms (with Automatic Renewal)
A continuous subscription is an open-ended subscription, meaning the agreement between Les Éditions du Journal de l'assurance Inc. and you (or your organization) will remain valid as long as payments are made according to the plan you selected or until you notify Les Éditions du Journal de l'assurance of your intention to terminate the agreement.
You can terminate the agreement by disabling automatic renewal directly on the site. To do so, go to the “My Level (Subscription)” section, found under the “My Profile” menu accessible under your name at the top right of the Portals. Disabling automatic renewal ensures that no further charges will be made to your credit card, and your subscription will end at the end of the period covered by your last payment.

For subscribers on an annual payment plan, you will receive an email notification prior to the automatic renewal of your subscription. It is your responsibility to disable automatic renewal before the renewal date as outlined above. No refunds will be issued.
One-Time Product and Service Purchase Terms
Some products (e-books, event tickets, etc.) are sold on a one-time basis.
Purchasing one of these products grants you access to the associated content until it is unpublished, with the unpublication date provided in the product description.
Pricing Policy
Les Éditions du Journal de l'assurance Inc. reserves the right to modify its prices at any time. In such cases, email notifications will be sent before the changes take effect.
Promotions
- Promotions are non-cumulative and cannot be combined with other offers.
- Certain subscription promotions apply only to a limited number of payments (e.g., the first month or the first three months). Subsequent renewals will be at the regular price.
- Promotional offers may vary and can be changed without notice.
Pricing and Payment
Prices are listed in Canadian dollars, and applicable taxes will be added. Les Éditions du Journal de l'assurance Inc. reserves the right to modify prices at any time.

Delivery
Tangible products (magazines, books, etc.) are delivered to the mailing address you provided at the time of purchase or as listed in your profile on the Portals.
You are responsible for ensuring your address is correct and up to date in your profile to facilitate delivery.
Magazines are shipped via Canada Post. For any magazine not received, you have until the 1st day of the month of the current issue to claim it by contacting customer service. After this deadline, the magazine is considered delivered and received.
Subscription Cancellation and Refund Policy
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your profile. In this case, the subscription will automatically end at the expiration date, with no refunds issued.

Refund Policy for One-Time Purchases
No refunds or transfers to another beneficiary will be allowed for one-time purchases (event tickets, books, etc.).
Suspension Terms
When a subscription expires due to cancellation or payment issues, associated privileges are immediately suspended. To regain access, simply renew your subscription or update your credit card details in your profile (“My Credit Cards” option under “My Profile”).
