The Financial Planning Standards Council has announced the members of its President's List for the November 2018 sitting of the CFP examination. The President’s List recognizes candidates who achieved the highest marks on the exam.

The new President’s List honourees are: Christopher Ferris of Ottawa, ON (1st place); Jennifer Armstrong  of Vernon, BC (2nd place) and Haiyan Wang of Burnaby, BC (3rd place)

A total of 563 candidates wrote the final, standardized national CFP examination. This is the highest number of candidates since FPSC implemented enhanced requirements for CFP certification in 2010.

Highly complex financial planning scenarios

“The CFP examination is a challenging endeavor that assesses candidates’ ability to apply their technical knowledge to highly complex financial planning scenarios,” says FPSC President and CEO Cary List. “Congratulations to these three individuals for their exceptional performance on this examination.”

President’s List recipients will be recognized at the Celebration of the Profession Dinner at the Sheraton Centre Toronto, taking place on November 19, 2019 as part of Financial Planning Week.
