David Lane, who has been in charge of Edward Jones' Canadian operations since 2012, is returning to the United States to lead the firm's Client Strategies Group. Tim Kirley has been appointed to be his successor.

On July 13, Edward Jones announced that Tim Kirley will assume leadership in Canada. He has been with Edward Jones since 1983, starting out as a financial advisor in Michigan and later moving to the company's headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri in 1994. He has held a number of senior leadership roles, most recently as the head of the firm's five-year planning process and serving as chief strategy officer.

"We thank David for his dedication and the growth and success we have achieved in Canada under his management, and look forward to Tim's leadership going forward," said Edward Jones managing partner Jim Weddle.
