The Co-operators has announced that it will supply its advisors with Equisoft's WealthElements financial planning suite and client portal.

The Montreal-based software company announced yesterday that The Co-operators has decided to implement its web-based investment, insurance and financial planning tools throughout its branches. WealthElements will allow advisors to create tailored wealth plans, and the portal will allow them to collect information over the Internet, profile investors, and select appropriate portfolios.

“We are excited to partner with EquiSoft,” says Jim Lund, Vice President, Wealth Strategy at The Co-operators. “Our goal is to offer our advisors a user-friendly, flexible and scalable planning tool to address wealth management, life insurance and living benefits needs in a holistic manner. Additionally, we wanted to provide our clients with a choice on how they interact with us, whether in person, online or by phone. WealthElements is the ideal solution to meet those needs.”

The Co-operators has more than $44 billion in assets under administration. According to its most recent annual report, the organization has 2,673 licensed insurance representatives throughout Canada.
