Sun Life Global Investments has added three new corporate class mutual funds to its retail line-up. The advisors for the new funds are Franklin Templeton Institutional, Trimark Investments (a part of Invesco), and Sionna Investment Managers (a sub-advisor of Bridgehouse Asset Managers). The three funds are:

  • The Sun Life Franklin Bissett Canadian Equity Class, which seeks to achieve long-term capital appreciation primarily by investing directly in a diversified portfolio of mid to large capitalization Canadian equities or indirectly by investing in mutual funds (including exchange-traded funds) that invest in such securities.
  •  The Sun Life Franklin Bissett Canadian Equity Class, which aims for consistent, long-term capital appreciation primarily by investing directly in common securities of Canadian companies or indirectly by investing in mutual funds (including exchange-traded funds) that invest in such securities.
  •  The Sun Life Sionna Canadian Small Cap Equity Class, which pursues long-term capital appreciation primarily through exposure to equity securities of small to medium capitalization Canadian companies by tracking the performance of the Sionna Canadian Small Cap Equity Fund or its successor fund (the underlying fund).
  • The new funds are available through Sun Life Financial advisors, as well as through members of the Mutual Fund Dealers Association (MFDA) and Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC).

"The launch of these funds underscores our commitment to offering Canadians great products and more tax smart avenues for diversifying their investments," comments Sadiq S. Adatia, chief investment officer at Sun Life Global Investments. "We are excited to welcome Invesco and Bridgehouse Asset Managers to our growing line up of world-class sub advisors and to further enhance our relationship with Franklin Templeton Institutional."
