The SCOR Canada Reinsurance Company announced that it has appointed Olivier Gay chief underwriting officer of the company, reporting to the chief underwriting officer of the company’s Americas division. Gay will also serve as deputy chief executive officer of the company’s Canadian operations, supporting the company’s CEO, Paul Christoff.

Olivier Gay will oversee the company’s reinsurance portfolio and underwriting team in Toronto. In a statement announcing the appointment, Christoff says Olivier Gay’s diverse experience will further enhance SCOR’s position as a key player in the Canadian marketplace.

Olivier Gay joined the SCOR group in 2010, most recently serving as the deputy chief financial officer with SCOR in Singapore for the Asia Pacific region. Prior to that he was SCOR’s head of capital management and financial analysis in Paris, France, and served as chief accounting officer for the company’s global property and casualty business unit.
