The CEO of Quebec City-based Promutuel AssuranceGeneviève Fortier, has announced that she has reorganized her team.

Guy Lecours has been promoted to Senior Vice-President, Insurance and Reinsurance. He was previously Senior Vice-President, Sales, Distribution and Strategic Partnerships. Promutuel, a property & casualty mutual insurance company, is currently seeking to fill Lecours’ former position.

Three vice-presidents will now report to Lecours:

  • Supply management and actuarial, a position held by Katherine Jacques since February 2020. Jacques has been with Promutuel since October 2017
  • Member experience and compensation, held by Alain Le Put  
  • Underwriting, a new role held by vice-president Linda Gosselin

Transformation office  

Fortier also announced the creation of a Transformation Office led by the Vice-President of Human Capital and Transformation. This office will serve “to accelerate the deployment of several initiatives aimed at modernizing the operating model and governance,” she says.

This project is being led by Geneviève Hamel, the current Vice-President, Human Capital and Employee Experience. The company is looking an Assistant Vice-President, Human Capital, to back the VP.

Promutuel is celebrating its 170th anniversary in 2022, says a press release issued on January 13. CEO Geneviève Fortier says the new structure is designed to reinforce the mutual’s sustainable growth and ensure a successful organizational transformation.

“Delivering a differentiated member experience, ensuring the sustainability of our group and achieving the ambitions we have set for ourselves are among our top priorities,” Fortier says. She says that her team and the group’s 2,000 employees put the insurer in a strong position to achieve its goals.
