The Board of Directors of Promutuel Insurance, a Quebec City-based property and casualty insurer, has announced the appointment of Geneviève Fortier as Chief Executive Officer.
Fortier succeeds Normand Morin, who has served as interim CEO since April 2019. She will officially take on this new role Dec. 16.
In a Nov. 25 statement, Promutuel Insurance said Fortier’s qualifications will enable the insurer to “pursue its growth and consolidate our network of mutuals, which are extremely active throughout Quebec.”
Fortier has held senior executive positions including, most recently, Senior Vice President, Sales and Distribution, at SSQ Insurance. She is a CHRP Fellow is a CHRP Fellow (conferred by Quebec’s association of certified human resource professionals), with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in industrial relations from Université Laval.
