On June 16, insurance marketer PPI announced the launch of The Knowledge Program, a series of classroom courses that offer technical training complemented by sales ideas.

The first course in the series focuses on the business insurance market and is now being made available to advisors in the PPI network across Canada. It covers corporate structures and taxation, life insurance taxation, shareholder agreements, and corporate owned insurance.

“Today’s market and regulatory environment requires advisors to be well informed about the suitability and application of insurance,” comments Jim Virtue, president and CEO of PPI Solutions, a marketing channel of PPI. “Our courses are not just filled with technical content though. They also explore ways to meet client needs through a number of ideas and case studies.”

The program launch coincides with the fifth edition of Glenn Stephen's book Estate Planning with Life Insurance. Stephens is director of planning services at PPI Advisory and a member of its tax and estate planning group, and he took part the development of this first course.
