The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) is inviting applications for membership on its Investor Advisory Panel.

The Investment Advisory Panel (IAP) “advises and comments on proposed rules, policies and investor protection initiatives, while considering the views of a broad range of investors through consultation with – and input from – investors and organizations representing investors,” said the OSC in an announcement March 6.

Two-year term

This year, many IAP members are nearing the end of their two-year terms and new members will be appointed to fill the vacancies. Members are compensated for their time.

A selection committee will interview short-listed candidates. The Chair of the OSC will appoint the panel members based on the selection committee’s recommendations. The OSC says applicants must send their resume by April 28, 2017 to Denise Morris at [email protected]
