Eric Toupin has been appointed Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Synex Insurance (Quebec). In this role, he will oversee all divisions in the province of Quebec along with their general managers.
Synex Business Performance made the announcement on social media on May 2, the same day Toupin assumed his position. Hired in early 2022, Toupin took on a newly created position in the group.
The new COO has 34 years of industry experience to his credit. He had been senior director of commercial insurance at Intact since 2016. He also held other roles at the insurer following the acquisition of AXA’s Canadian portfolio in 2012. He had previously worked at AXA for 24 years.
