The news is spreading quickly throughout the industry: Mario Albert, former general manager of Finance Montréal, will join La Capitale Financial Group.
La Capitale confirmed to The Insurance and Investment Journal that Albert will take on the leadership of major transformations in information technology, effective April 10.
Albert was general manager of Finance Montréal, a position he left earlier this week. Albert’s background in the industry includes holding the position of CEO of the Autorité des marchés financiers from January 2011 to July 2013. Prior to that, he was the AMF’s Superintendent, client services, compensation and distribution (October 2007 to January 2011). He also held many roles in Quebec’s Ministère des Finances, including that of Assistant Deputy Minister.
