Manulife Bank plans to install more than 800 automated banking machines (ABMs) in select Mac's, Couche-Tard and Circle K convenience stores across Canada.

Manulife Bank has announced plans to make about 830 ABMs available in British Columbia, the Northwest Territories, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Newfoundland and New Brunswick by the end of September. The new ABMs will be a part of The Exchange, which is a network of banks and credit unions that provide surcharge-free deposits and withdrawals to each others' customers at more than 3,300 locations. Manulife says that people who have accounts at other major financial institutions will also be able to use the ABMs at standard network rates.

"Our customers have asked for greater access to ABM services," says Manulife Bank of Canada president and CEO Rick Lunny. "This is all about offering convenient banking near where our customers live and work."
